Devonport Guildhall is a thriving creative social enterprise hub, venue and cultural centre for the Devonport community and beyond.
The Guildhall has been renovated thanks to a £1.75million Community Assets Grant. The biggest renovation project that the Guildhall has seen in its 190 year history, Real Ideas Organisation managed the build responsibly, working closely with strategic partners and local regional and national organisations including DCRP, Plymouth City Council and HM Goverment (through the Community Assets Grant) to preserve the buildings’ heritage and significance within the community.
In spring 2010 the Devonport Guildhall reopened with the Main Hall and Mayor's parlour available for hire, office space for creative businesses and a programme of activities for the local community, young people and businesses on offer. Devonport Guildhall's Cafe will be opening soon.
The Devonport Guildhall is about more than just the building itself; it’s a creative space – a hot house for ideas. It provides everyone who visits and uses the space with the opportunity to meet people, make contacts and inspire each other in an environment that is innovative, vibrant and alive. It’s about freedom to think, move and create, there is always something going on which you can seek out and be inspired by. Why not come down and take a look for yourself?
